VISIT CONSTRUCTION SITES
& DESIGN YOUR OWN

You will need:
-
A copy of the “Count Equipment at Construction Sites” chart
-
Pencils, colored pencils or markers, or crayons
Steps:

1. Click on the charts below - “Count Equipment at Construction Sites” - and print out copies of the linked documents.

2. Drive or walk to where a building is under construction. What are they building?

Quick Tip: Many cities and towns have websites where current and upcoming permitted construction is listed. To find out what is being built in your city, type in "construction sites near me" or "construction sites in [insert your city or town name]".

3. Count how many construction trucks there are. How many trucks did you count total?

4. Color in the pictures of the construction trucks you see, and then cut them out along the border lines. Then perhaps you could create a picture of your own construction site by taping them along the bottom of a room wall?
Tip: Make sure you use tape that will not damage wall paint or wallpaper.
Which is your favorite construction truck?
